Alpha diversity. Affected animals had a higher species richness (a) than unaffected animals (Affected: mean = 7.45, SD = 1.13; Unaffected: mean = 8.40, SD = 1.47) although this difference was not significant (H = 1.97, p = 0.16). Species richness was negatively correlated with standard differentiation between recorded body weights (b) although the result was not significant (R = -0.44, p = 0.06)
