Regional and seasonal differences in the structure of environmental and fish gut microbiomes. Principal Coordinates Analyses (PCoA) were performed on abundance-weighted taxonomic dissimilarity computed on microbial ASVs (partitioning of taxonomic entropy expressed as Hill numbers). For each ecosystem compartment, red, blue and green dots correspond to samples from Red Sea, Levantine Sea and Northern Crete, respectively, with filled and empty dots correspond to spring and autumn, respectively. For gut microbiomes of both Siganidae species (bottom row), the first two pairs of PCoA axes are represented (PC1-PC2 and PC3-PC4)
